Pumpkin-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. cooked or canned pumpkin
    1/4 c. milk
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream together brown sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Stir in pumpkin and milk.
    Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ginger and cloves together; stir into pumpkin mixture.
    Beat 1 minute with electric beater.
    Stir in nuts.
    Turn into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes.
    Remove from pan.
    Cool.
    Makes 1 loaf.
