Quick Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry pinto beans, lima beans or black-eyed peas
Preparation

Put beans or peas in a 4-quart pan; cover with water.
Bring to a boil; boil for 10 minutes.
Turn off burner; let set for 1 hour. Pour off water.
Cover with 5 or 6 inches of water and bring to a boil.
Add seasonings, salt, chili powder, garlic, salt pork, etc. Boil on low heat for 1 hour.
