Ginger Cream Cheese Ball - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) box pitted dates
    6 to 8 candied ginger bits
    1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
    2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    flaked coconut
    gingersnaps
Preparation
    Chop dates, ginger and nuts in a food processor or mince by hand.
    Add cheese; blend well.
    Chill 2 hours; shape into large ball or 2 small ones.
    Cover with flaked coconut.
    Serve with gingersnaps.
    Will serve 20.
