Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. butter
    1 c. salted pecans
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water, syrup and butter in a small deep saucepan.
    Cook over medium-low heat to 300\u00b0 or hard crack stage. Add pecans and cook to 310\u00b0.
    Stir in soda, pour into lightly greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Let stand until cold and break into pieces.
