Glorified Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
3 Tbsp. molasses
1 c. sour milk, yogurt or buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, shortening, ginger and cinnamon together and set aside 3/4 cup of dry mixture for topping.
Add the rest of the ingredients to the remainder.
Pour mixture into 8-inch square, greased baking dish and sprinkle the reserved dry mixture over the top to form an icing.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
