Three Hour Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 cake yeast
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 egg, beaten light
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar and salt together. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add beaten egg and then fill the cup with milk. beat this into the flour mixture and let stand for 2 hours. Knead and roll out into rolls. Let rise for 1 hour. Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for about 20 minutes.
