French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. onions, sliced thin
    1 stick butter
    8 cans consomme
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. thyme
    dash of salt
    2 cans water
    1 loaf French bread
    Swiss cheese slices
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Brown onions in butter. Add consomme, pepper, thyme, salt and water. Simmer for 1 hour.
