Kahlua(Makes 3 Quarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 qt. 100 proof vodka
4 c. granulated sugar
4 c. water
6 heaping tsp. instant coffee (regular)
3 vanilla beans or 2 tsp. vanilla extract to each bottle

Preparation

Boil 4 cups water and add 4 cups sugar to make a simple syrup. Let boil a few more minutes.
Add instant coffee and shut off heat and let cool, add vodka.
Cut vanilla beans in half the long way.
Put in each bottle, divide solution into 3 equal parts. Stir well, then fill bottles.
Let stand in a cool, dark place for at least 10 days before using.
