Corn Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. milk
    5 tsp. shortening
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
    Put in muffin tins and bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes until done.
    Makes 1 dozen muffins.
