Apple Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 onions, quartered
    1 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    14 large red apples, cored and quartered
    1 qt. distilled white vinegar
    4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. allspice
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1 stick cinnamon
Preparation
    Attach food grinder, using coarse grinding plate.
    Turn to speed 4 and grind onions and red pepper in small bowl.
    Add water and salt.
    Let stand 15 minutes, then drain.
    Attach clean grinder with coarse plate.
    Grind apples into a 5-quart pot.
    Add onion and red pepper mixture, vinegar, sugar and cloth bag filled with spices.
    Bring to a boil and cook 15 minutes.
    Remove spice bag.
