Baked Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef, cut into small pieces
    2 c. onions, diced
    2 c. potatoes, quartered
    2 c. carrots, cut in chunks
    2 c. celery, cut large
    1 can sliced mushrooms (optional)
    2 tsp. seasoned salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    5 Tbsp. tapioca
    2 tsp. sugar
    3 c. V-8 juice
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in order given in large roaster or Dutch oven with tight fitting lid.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 5 to 6 hours.
    No browning is necessary.
    When done, the gravy is thick and brown. Stew may also be cooked on top burner over low heat in a very heavy roaster.
    Stir occasionally.
