Polish Crullers(Chrusciki) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 egg yolks
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    5 Tbsp. sour cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. brandy
Preparation
    Add salt to eggs and beat until thick.
    Add sugar and flavoring (grated lemon rind could be used instead of brandy). Beat good; add sour cream and flour, mixing well.
    Knead on floured board until dough blisters.
    Cut into 3 parts and roll each separately.
    Roll dough out thin.
    Cut into slanted strips, 4-inches long, 1 1/2-inches wide.
    Slit each piece in center; pull one end through slit.
    Fry in hot grease until lightly browned. Drain on paper towel.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
