Brownie Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3 c. plain flour
1 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
5 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
5 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
1 c. milk
1 c. water
Preparation

Mix baking powder with water and set aside.
Cream sugar and shortening well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Sift together dry ingredients and add to cream mixture alternately with milk.
Beat in water and baking powder with flavoring last. Bake in greased and floured tube cake pan for 2 hours at 300\u00b0. This cake makes a crunchy top and will stay moist for days.
