German Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage
    1 onion
    1 green pepper
    2 c. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric (yellow)
    1 Tbsp. whole celery seed
Preparation
    Put vinegar, sugar, celery and turmeric into pan; bring to boil.
    Cut up cabbage, onion and pepper.
    Pour mixture over cabbage (let set overnight).
