Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large eggs
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    5 c. milk
    4 c. (1 qt.) heavy cream or 4 c. Milnot
    about 10 lb. crushed ice
    about 4 c. rock salt
Preparation
    In a large bowl, beat eggs until foaming.
    Beat in sugar, vanilla and salt until most of the sugar has dissolved.
    Add milk and cream.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Pour into a 4-quart ice cream freezer can.
