Raw Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. nuts
    1 c. dates or raisins
    4 c. raw apples, diced
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add well-beaten eggs.
    Mix well. Sift flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, soda and salt together and add to mixture.
    Add nuts, dates and apples.
    Pour into well-greased and floured pan (9 x 13-inches) and bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
