Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    3 c. milk
    16 slices white bread
    2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 c. cooked ham, diced
Preparation
    Combine eggs and milk in a large bowl and mix well.
    Butter both sides of all bread slices.
    Dip each slice in egg mixture. Place 1 layer of bread in bottom of 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
    Cover with 1 cup cheese, all of the ham, the remaining bread slices and the remaining cheese.
    Pour remaining egg mixture over the cheese. Refrigerate 24 hours.
    Remove from refrigerator 1 hour before baking.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    Serves 12.
