Ingredients

1 (6 oz.) can frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate
3 juice cans cold water
1 c. sugar
1/2 lemon, sliced thin
1 cinnamon stick (about 4 inches long)
6 cloves
8 medium (2 1/2 lb.) firm cooking apples, peeled, cored and halved
Preparation

In large saucepan, dissolve concentrate in water.
Add sugar, lemon, cinnamon stick and cloves.
Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar, adding 5 or 6 apple halves once, 6 to 8 minutes, or until almost tender.
Discard lemon, cinnamon and cloves. Chill and serve or store, covered, in refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
