Corn Muffins(Makes 1 Dozen) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 1/2 c. white cornmeal
    1 scant tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. sour milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Grease muffin pan generously with shortening.
    Set in a 400\u00b0 oven.
    Sift cornmeal, salt, soda and baking powder into mixing bowl.
    Add sour milk and stir well.
    Add the beaten egg and melted butter.
    Heat muffin pan very hot.
    Fill each cup and bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Serve hot.
