Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. red food coloring (2 oz.)
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs, beat 1 minute.
    Put cocoa and coloring in cup and make paste.
    Add to cream mixture.
    Add salt, put vanilla in buttermilk.
    Mix vinegar and soda in cup, add last to mixture and blend.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes after pouring into 2 (9-inch) cake pans.
