Fig-Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. peeled and mashed figs
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored gelatin
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix figs, gelatin and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over low heat and continue boiling for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Pour quickly into glasses. Cover at once with 1/8-inch hot paraffin or seal with new lids.
    Makes 6 medium glasses.
