Vegetable Medley - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head cabbage (about 1 lb.)
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. thin slices celery
    1 medium green pepper, sliced
    2/3 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce (if desired)
Preparation
    Prepare 3 cups shredded cabbage.
    Heat shortening in skillet. Add vegetables and stir.
    Cover.
    Steam 5 minutes or until crisp-tender, stirring.
    Add salt and pepper.
    If desired, stir in 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
