Hospitality Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour and baking powder, add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix just until blended after each addition.
Stir in flavorings. Pour batter equally into two greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for an hour.
Cake is done when toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from pan and let cool on rack.
