Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
3 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
Preparation

Heat milk until skin forms on top.
Pour over bread crumbs; add margarine and raisins.
Let cool.
Beat eggs slightly and mix with sugar, salt and spice.
Mix in cooled crumb mixture.
Pour in a buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
To test for doneness, insert a knife in the center.
It should come out clean.
The bread pudding can also be baked in a large loaf pan.
