Green Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. green beans
    1 small red onion
    1/4 c. finely minced parsley
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    salt to taste
    1 clove garlic, pressed or finely chopped (if desired)
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
    3 to 4 slices crisp bacon (optional)
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Trim beans and cut into pieces, about 1 1/2-inches.
    Cook until tender-crisp.
    Drain and cool to lukewarm.
    Add onion, garlic, parsley, olive oil and salt and pepper and mix well. Refrigerate.
