Apple-Cranberry Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. orange rind, finely chopped
2 Granny Smith apples, chopped
1 (12 oz.) pkg. cranberries, coarsely chopped
1 Tbsp. crystallized ginger, finely chopped
1/8 tsp. ground allspice
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. light raisins
Preparation

Combine sugar, water and orange rind in heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer until clear (about 2 minutes).
Add apple and cook 5 minutes.
Add cranberries and spices.
Simmer 7 to 8 minutes.
Stir in raisins.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Refrigerate overnight.
