Dottie'S Homemade Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. self-rising flour
    glob of Crisco (a little larger than a golf ball)
    buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine flour with Crisco (I use a fork to mix).
    Pour in buttermilk until dough is sticky, but not too moist to work with your hands.
    Put handful of flour on surface.
    Knead lightly 6 or 7 times.
    Pat out dough to about 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut out with floured cutter.
    Place biscuits close together for soft sided biscuits or 1-inch apart for crusty sides.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes, until brown.
