Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 apples (peeled & cored)
2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. Crisco
1/2 c. milk
cinnamon
brown sugar
margarine or butter
Preparation

Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in Crisco. Add milk all at once; mix until soft. Roll to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 6 squares. Place apple on each square & sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar & dab of butter on each apple. Fold corners up over apple & pinch edges together. Place in baking dish, 1 inch apart. Pour liquid mixture over dumplings & bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
