Orange-Buttermilk Summer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    2 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) orange flavor gelatin
    1 (8 oz.) lite Cool Whip
    1 c. walnuts, finely chopped
Preparation
    In a saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar.
    Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
    When mixture boils, add the gelatin and stir until dissolved, then let cool slightly; stir in buttermilk. Chill until partially set.
    Fold in whipped topping and nuts. Chill until mixture mounds.
    Pour into a lightly oiled mold, 8 1/2 cups in size or larger.
    Chill overnight.
