Caramel Icing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. shortening
Preparation

Put in saucepan.
Cook at moderate heat until a soft ball stage is reached using a candy thermometer.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Mix.
Allow to cool and ice.
