Dorothy Burrows Chocolate Pie(Microwave) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1 Tbsp. margarine
1/2 tsp. vanilla
9-inch pie crust
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients in a microwave proof bowl.
Add milk slowly to mix.
Microwave for 3 minutes.
In the meantime, beat egg yolks. Remove milk mixture from microwave and add a little of the mixture to egg yolks.
Stir.
Add egg yolks to milk mixture, stir and return to microwave.
Microwave for 3 more minutes, stirring after each minute.
(May need to cook a little longer, depending on microwave).
Mixture should leave a ditch when spoon is pulled from one side of bowl to the other.
Add margarine and vanilla, pour into baked pie shell.
Prepare meringue from egg whites.
Put on cooled pie and brown under broiler.
