Creamy Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 stick margarine
    3 oz. unsweetened chocolate (3 sq.)
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. light cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 box 4x sugar, sifted
    1 c. chopped nuts or chopped cherries
Preparation
    Melt chocolate\tand margarine over hot water.
    Put egg, cream, vanilla and
    sugar\tin a bowl to beat well.
    Add chocolate mixture;
    beat
    with mixer enough to blend.
    Add nuts, if desired. Pour
    in
    buttered
    dish
    and place in refrigerator. Cut when firm.
