Custard Bread Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. packed stale bread
1 qt. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins
Preparation

Break bread into small pieces.
Soak in milk until soft.
Beat well with an egg beater.
Heat until nearly boiling.
Beat eggs well, add sugar, salt and vanilla.
Mix with bread and milk.
Add raisins.
Pour onto a 2-quart baking dish.
Set in a pan of warm water.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
