Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
1 c. white sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 to 1 c. strawberry jam
Preparation

Mix by hand with long wooden spoon.
Cream butter and add sugar.
Cream until light and fluffy.
Add eggs yolks and blend well.
Add flour, mix thoroughly.
Fold in nuts, salt and vanilla. Spoon 1/2 batter into pan.
Spread evenly.
Spread strawberry jam on dough.
Cover with remaining dough.
Bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0 or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
Cut into squares.
