Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large apples
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 c. diced celery
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. real mayonnaise
    1 tsp. confectioners sugar
    1/4 c. sour cream
    lettuce leaves
    1/3 c. broken walnuts
Preparation
    Core apples.
    Pare if desired, or leave red-skinned apples unpeeled.
    Dice them and sprinkle with lemon juice.
    Combine apples with celery and salt.
    Blend together mayonnaise, sugar and sour cream.
    Pour over apple mixture, tossing lightly with a fork until apple pieces are well coated.
    Arrange salad in lettuce cups.
    Sprinkle with walnuts.
    Serves 6 to 8.
