Marinated Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can French-style green beans, drained
    1 (17 oz.) can green peas, drained
    1 (12 oz.) can Shoe Peg whole corn, drained
    1 (2 oz.) jar diced pimento, drained
    1 c. celery, finely chopped
    1 green pepper, finely chopped
    1 bunch green onions, finely chopped
Preparation
    Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil and simmer to dissolve sugar. Cool. Combine vegetables and stir in cooled vinegar mixture. Cover and chill at least 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
