French Fries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium potatoes
    salt
    Crisco or Crisco oil for deep frying
Preparation
    Pare potatoes and cut into 3/8-inch strips.
    Rinse or soak in cold water.
    Dry potatoes well on paper towels.
    Deep fry half of the potatoes at a time in Crisco heated to 365\u00b0.
    Cook until tender and golden brown (5 to 7 minutes).
    Drain on paper towels. Keep hot in oven set on low temperature.
    Sprinkle with salt. Serve hot.
