French Onion Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 onions, thinly sliced
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper (ground)
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 garlic clove, minced
    pinch of parsley
    pinch of thyme
    6 c. chicken stock
    1 c. white wine
Preparation
    Saute onions in butter in saucepan until limp.
    Add flour, salt, pepper, sugar and garlic.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture is golden brown.
    Add parsley and thyme; stir.
    Add chicken stock and wine.
    Simmer 45 minutes.
    Serve with croutons and grated Swiss cheese.
