Toads In The Hole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. small link sausage
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Place sausage and water in a 10-inch skillet.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 3 minutes.
    Remove cover; increase heat to medium and cook until brown and water is evaporated.
    Prepare batter.
    Beat eggs with whisk; add milk and blend well.
    Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
    Pour 1/4 cup sausage drippings in an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
    Arrange sausage links on bottom of dish.
    Pour batter over all.
    Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
