Chow Chow Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. cabbage
    1 qt. onions
    1 dozen green tomatoes
    1 dozen bell peppers
    2 qt. vinegar
    1 cup plain flour
    2 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    3 Tbsp. salt
    3 cups sugar
Preparation
    Cut vegetables and mix together. Mix all the seasoning and add enough vinegar to make a smooth paste. Bring rest of vinegar to a boil and add the paste mixture to it. Cook slowly until it thickens. Add vegetables and cook until thoroughly heated. Boil for a few minutes. Add a few red peppers for color, and hot pepper to taste. Seal in pint jars.
