Stay-Abed Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew beef
    2 to 3 onions, quartered
    4 to 6 carrots, cut up
    2 to 4 potatoes, cut up
    1 can tomato soup
    1/2 can water
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a covered casserole.
    Do not brown meat.
    Bake in a 275\u00b0 oven for 5 hours.
    Stir two or three times if you want.
