Scholotte Point Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. Shoe Peg corn
    1 Tbsp. flaked onion
    1 Tbsp. chopped chives
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    milk
    salt and pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Add eggs (beaten), Shoe Peg corn and enough milk to make a medium-thick batter.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls in hot oil until brown and done.
    Drain on paper towel.
