Homemade Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 medium apples
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Wash, quarter and core the apples.
    Place them in a large cooking pot and add the water.
    Over medium heat, cook the apples until they are nearly soft.
    Add the sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon.
    Cook the mixture for a few minutes longer, then press it through a strainer and let it cool.
    Serve it warm or cold. Makes about 5 cups applesauce.
