California Walnut Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. light corn syrup
3 Tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell
1 c. walnut pieces
Preparation

Mix brown sugar and flour in saucepan.
Add corn syrup, butter and salt.
Warm over low heat just until butter is melted.
In large bowl, beat eggs with vanilla.
Stir in sugar mixture.
Turn into pie shell and sprinkle with walnuts.
Bake on lower rack of oven at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes until filling is set in center. Cool before cutting.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
