Almond Roca - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/4 c. water
    6 oz. blanched slivered almonds
    1/2 lb. Hershey chocolate bar
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. white Karo
Preparation
    Melt chocolate in top of double boiler or microwave on Low. Place all other ingredients in heavy iron skillet.
    Stir with wooden spoon over medium heat until mixture reaches hard crack (20 to 30 minutes).
    Spread evenly in 9 x 12-inch buttered pan.
    Wait 3 minutes.
    Spread melted chocolate over top.
    Let cool.
    Break into pieces.
