Dilly-Icious Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 to 5 lb. chicken, cut up
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. dill weed
Preparation
    Shake chicken pieces in flour, salt and pepper.
    Place skin side down in single layer on baking sheet.
    Dot with shortening. Bake 1/2 hour in 400\u00b0 oven.
    Turn chicken; baste with combination of melted butter, water and dill.
    Bake another 1/2 hour, basting 2 or 3 times.
    Turn oven off and keep chicken in oven another 40 minutes to crisp.
    Makes 6 servings.
