Grilled Flank Steak Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large flank steak
    4 large cloves garlic, chopped (chopped garlic in jar works nicely)
    2 sliced red onions
    1/2 to 3/4 c. dry red wine
    1 tsp. whole thyme
    1 large French or Italian bread
    1 stick butter
Preparation
    Add 1/2 garlic and 2 onions to wine.
    Marinate steak for 2 to 3 hours, turning.
    Slice bread on diagonal.
    Melt butter; add thyme and garlic (2 teaspoons).
    Spread on inside of bread; wrap in foil.
    Grill steak to desired doneness.
    Slice steak in thin strips at an angle.
    Heat bread in oven while steak is cooking; heat until crusty on outside.
    Stuff bread with steak strips; slice in 2-inch pieces.
    Serve with salad.
