Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 medium onions, diced
6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 lb. lean ground beef
3 slices fresh bread (remove edges)
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. milk or cream
4 eggs
2 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. beef bouillon
2 Tbsp. cooking sherry
Preparation

Fry onions in butter until golden brown.
Drain well.
Soak bread in 1/2 cup milk.
Combine meat with fried onions, soaked bread, eggs, salt and pepper.
Roll into 1-inch balls and fry in butter or oil until evenly brown.
Shake pan often to keep balls round.
Remove meatballs; drain well.
Add flour to the grease and blend well.
Add bouillon and milk or cream; stir until sauce is thickened and smooth.
Add sherry and additional seasonings, if necessary.
Add meatballs; cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Makes 12 servings.
