Mississippi Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 eggs
    1 c. sour milk*
    1 tsp. baking soda
    5 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. finely chopped pecans (optional)
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Add baking soda to sour milk.
    Mix all ingredients.
    Roll out 1/4-inch thick on lightly floured board and cut out into different shapes.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0. They may appear not quite done.
    However, do not overbake!
    Roll in powdered sugar after you remove from oven.
