Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Pour boiling water over oats. Stir. Cover and let stand 20 minutes. Grease and flour cake pan.
Mix together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Beat together butter and sugars in a large bowl until smooth, light and fluffy. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Add oats and mix well. Stir in flour mixture until well blended.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
